Our client, a growing HVAC contractor in Boston, is hiring a Sales Engineer to manage their Boston sales territory. The HVAC Sales Engineer will conduct sales acquisition, project coordination (turnover), and account management activities in their account universe. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, providing technical expertise, and developing strong relationships with clients. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Generate leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Provide technical support and expertise to clients, ensuring they understand the benefits and specifications of our HVAC products and solutions.
- Conduct site visits to assess client needs and recommend appropriate HVAC systems and services.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and tailor HVAC solutions that meet client requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC sales or a related technical sales role.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, products, and services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
