Description

The Assistant Director of Enrollment Services oversees Expanded Education’s recruitment, enrollment, registration, and retention of students. The position develops and oversees technology, processes, procedures, and goals associated with enrollment in NEC’s Expanded Education Department. This role involves developing and managing the technology, processes, procedures, and goals associated with enrollment. This position is a resource for prospective students and families on the application, audition processes, and registration. Working closely with faculty, the position coordinates audition and placement requirements across Expanded Education. Reporting to the Senior Director of Program Operations and Enrollment, this role also supervises the Enrollment Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

● Lead the operational aspects of NEC EE enrollment and registration, with a strong emphasis on CRM (Slate) and Registration system (ASAP) management.

● Partner with Expanded Education leadership on course offerings; manage course creation in the registration system (ASAP).

● Liaise with NEC EE Faculty members on application review; issue placement letters and manage registration follow-up.

● Serve as a key member of the NEC EE Scholarship Committee; facilitate financial aid application collection, prepare curriculum information for scholarship applicants, and distribute scholarship notifications.

● Collaborate with the Expanded Education leadership team to develop and implement strategic and annual budget plans for the department.

● Recommend and oversee the implementation of new and/or revised policies and procedures in support of enrollment management goals.

● Represent NEC to external stakeholders on behalf of the Expanded Education department.

● Analyze enrollment trends and financial aid data to recommend and implement process improvements.

● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree or higher, and five or more years of experience working within a college setting; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

● Strong technology and computer skills, with expertise in higher education-specific software and databases. Experience with Slate and ASAP is highly preferred.

● Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both oral and written).

● Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative, detail/accuracy, and follow-through.

● Ability to manage a high volume of tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively.
