Position Summary We are looking for a Success Engineer to own the technical rollout of new features and programs. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless experience for customers as they engage with our latest offerings, spanning new product lines, accessories, and initiatives. As we transition from hundreds to thousands of stores, this position will be instrumental in shaping our engineering roadmap, gathering feedback, and identifying evolving customer needs. Gather feedback from customers regarding new features, contribute ideas for enhancements and drive the redesign process for subsequent versions.
Address immediate issues for test customers, investigating root causes and collaborating with them to resolve problems effectively.
Conduct regular customer interviews to understand their perspectives and behaviors, advocating for customer needs during the design phase.
Develop comprehensive training materials for internal and external teams on all new features, partnering closely with the training department to ensure technicians can address common issues with prototypes.
Support sales and marketing teams by providing technical expertise for product demos, presentations, and customer inquiries.
Collaborate closely with the field service technician team to identify failure trends and communicate priorities for engineering fixes.
Plan and execute tests to assess the longevity of new components in real-world settings, quantifying improvements compared to previous designs.
Customize prototypes to meet beta customers' requirements, such as integrating additional screens for marketing purposes or adapting pump types for faster dispensing.
Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to ensure a cohesive approach to new product introductions and customer issue resolution.
Up to 25% travel expected
Requirements
BS/MS degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other relevant engineering degree
Minimum 3 years of work experience designing and testing hardware devices
Strong communication skills to gather input and communicate across teams
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers, vendors and partners
Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
Data-driven and analytical mindset
Fast learner and takes initiative. Ability to work independently and proactively seek out answers.
Preferred Qualifications
Mandarin fluency
Experience in the food and beverage industry
