We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager to lead both the product strategy and product delivery aspects for both net new products and existing products. Bottle Rocket is a digital product agency that works with market-leading organizations across industries. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product management principles and a diverse background operating at different altitudes in a project setting. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product strategies, prioritize features, and ensure high-quality product solutions that meet the needs of our client's and their users.
What Your Next Opportunity Looks Like Product Strategy - Lead discovery exercises to deeply understand and gather information about the business context, technical infrastructure, and end-user of a new or existing product.
- Create a holistic long-term product vision and strategy for a net new or existing product, informed by both business context (goals, challenges, opportunities) and end-user opportunities (pain points, unmet needs, and desires).
- Develop strategic product, initiative, and feature-level recommendations and backed by qualitative, quantitative data, insights, and business cases.
- Synthesize insights and data into opportunity patterns and themes; lead prioritization and alignment; guide the team towards the right solutions for those opportunities.
- Demonstrate experience in translating strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements.
- Utilize market research, customer data, and competitive analysis to gain deep customer empathy.
- Create, manage, and own the Product Roadmap, ensuring that it's communicated regularly for feedback and alignment
Product Execution While the Senior Product Manager role is typically more strategic in nature, it is still important that a candidate can flex into some delivery/execution focused areas:
- Lead sessions to identify and capture keybusiness and technical requirements.
- Create documentation (PRD's), artifacts, presentations, etc.
- Break down features into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Manage and prioritize a product backlog
- Lead various sprint ceremonies backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, etc.
Communication & Alignment - Create and lead presentations as the voice and face of Product Management within the project.
- Lead various key stakeholder focused meetings that show insights, results, and strategic thinking for the product (roadmap reviews, QBR's, etc.)
- Ensure communication within the project team and to the client is clear, concise and on time.
- Translate complexity to clients and internal teams ensuring clarity
Client Engagement - Partner with our client stakeholders to obtain a keen understanding of business intentions to create an optimal product for their end-users while managing bottom-line success.
- Provide clear expectations to clients on action items and timelines, ensure those expectations are met, and provide calm and confident assistance when expectations are at risk.
- Build strong relationships and trust with client stakeholders: Research anddemonstrate strong knowledge of client business' markets, values, and needs.
- Educate clients on Bottle Rocket processes and best practices related to product management to set expectations and build confidence and trust.
What You'll Need - Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in digital product management
- Experience leading workshops in establishing a vision, roadmap, and measures of success.
- Proven track record for utilizing industry principles and best practices to make data informed decisions.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product development processes.
- Strong collaborator who can effectively communicate, present, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Delivered B2B or B2C digital native, mobile, and/or web products to market.
- Ability to pull actionable insights from data and analytics.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail
- Experience with Atlassian Software (JIRA, Confluence), Azure DevOps or equivalent agile software management tool
Bonus Points: - Experience in an agency environment
- Experience with global teams
- Experience with product communication tools such as MIRO, Slack, Teams, Keynote, etc.
- Experience working on products that have millions of monthly active users (MAU)
- Involved in Product Management or Business Analyst networking groups
