Job Overview: Join Boulder Surgery Center, a busy orthopedic-driven outpatient surgery center, as a Business Office Manager, where you'll lead daily operations and a team of dedicated ASC business office professionals. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, this role is essential in managing scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, fee collections, and various reception duties. Wage: $28-37 per hour Commensurate with experience

Requirements
Essential Duties
- Operations Management: Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused operations for the surgery center.
- Team Leadership: Direct supervision of non-clinical personnel, including hiring, training, evaluating, and scheduling staff.
- Business Office Functions: Oversee medical records, operative notes, pathology reports, bookings, front office/admitting procedures, accounts receivable, billing and collections, accounts payable, and daily cash receipts.
- Human Resources: Partner with the HR department for hiring, payroll submission, and maintaining HR files. Conduct annual performance appraisals for staff.
- Financial Management: Handle payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, and month/year-end financial reporting.
- Scheduling Coordination: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with physician offices, manage the block schedule to meet surgeon needs, and oversee the patient scheduling process.
- Revenue Cycle Oversight: Monitor patient billing processes and collaborate with third-party billing companies to ensure timely billing and collections.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in initiatives related to patient satisfaction, benchmarking, and quality improvement.

- Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and surgical procedures.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures required.
