Overview:

Join our team as an Optometric Technician and play a vital role in providing exceptional eye care services. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for eye health and customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Assist optometrists in comprehensive eye examinations.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging.
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems.
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
- Assist with frame styling and lens selection for patients.
- Support the optical team in frame adjustments and repairs.

Experience:

- Proficiency in using optical systems and electronic medical records (EMR), preferably Epic.
- Knowledge of clinic procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for optical sales.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and optometry.
- Experience in sales, particularly in optical or retail settings, is advantageous.
