A leading wholesale distributor of paint, hardware, and lumber is searching for a Customer Service Lead to join their team! This is a fully onsite position in Port Washington, NY where you'll be responsible for processing POs from order taking all the way through to completion.

Salary Range : $50,000 - $65,000 DOE

Customer Service Lead Requirements

• 3 years of customer service experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
• Proficiency in Excel and the ability to adapt to new and proprietary technologies
• Exceptional communication skills, both over the phone and through email
• Comfortable in a fast-paced setting, juggling multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently and ensure customer satisfaction
• Team-oriented, ready to support and collaborate with others
• Bilingual abilities in English / Chinese or English / Spanish are a plus

Customer Service Lead Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of customer service representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development
• Oversee the efficient processing and management of customer orders across phone, email, fax, and online platforms from initiation to completion
• Deliver superior customer service by addressing escalated inquiries, resolving complex issues, and maintaining high satisfaction levels through effective communication
• Collaborate with sales, accounts payable, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and resolve any discrepancies
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance customer service efficiency and effectiveness
• Identify opportunities for upselling and support sales objectives through proactive customer engagement
• Utilize Excel and proprietary systems for accurate order entry, reporting, and data analysis
• Navigate a fast-paced environment with agility, ensuring timely order processing and adapting to shifting priorities as needed
• Investigate and resolve order or invoice issues, employing critical thinking to maintain accuracy and customer trust
