A national product liability defense firm in Torrance, CA is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join their dynamic team! They are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of experience as an attorney in general insurance defense, with product liability experience preferred and a passion for crafting innovative legal strategies in a fast-paced environment. Salary Range: $175,000 - $195,000 DOE Bonus
Insurance Defense Attorney Requirements:

• 3-7 years of legal experience as an attorney
• General insurance defense experience
• 1-2 years of product liability experience is preferred
• Must have experience with depositions
• Must have experience preparing cases for trial
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills
• Professional demeanor, ability to work well with diverse personalities, and a commitment to producing quality work
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the California State Bar

Insurance Defense Attorney Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare detailed legal documents
• Engage actively in writing assignments to support case strategy
• Undertake and manage depositions, gathering crucial case information
• Attend court hearings and client meetings to represent the firm's interests
• Draft pleadings and other court documents to advance litigation objectives
• Participate in the discovery process, managing the exchange of pertinent information
• Prepare for trial, including strategy development and evidence presentation
• Enter and manage personal timekeeping and billing with accuracy
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop business and client pitches
