An aerospace company in Redmond, WA is searching for a Part-Time Quality Inspector to join their team for approximately 16-25 hours per week! As a Quality Manager, you will be the go-to person for all things quality-related, working closely with the operations manager to ensure that products meet stringent FAA and AS9100 standards. You'll be hands-on, conducting final inspections on production pieces, managing quality control processes, and addressing customer inquiries and corrective actions. They are looking for candidates with at least 8 years of experience in quality control within the aerospace industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure. 8 years of experience in quality control within the aerospace industry
Experience with video boards, screens, and electronics
Strong background in FAA regulations and AS9100 audits
Bachelor's degree (or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work under stress and pressure
Strong personal responsibility and accountability
Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
Manage all quality control aspects, ensuring compliance with FAA and AS9100 standards
Handle customer inquiries and corrective actions, particularly for issues related to monitors
Conduct monthly audits and ensure adherence to established procedures
Participate in weekly production meetings and address any issues with incoming units
Perform final inspections on production pieces, ensuring quality standards are met
Generate certificates of compliance for production shipments
Inspect sheet metal frames and chassis, coordinating with suppliers if necessary
