Role Description: Bowler Pons Solutions Consultants, LLC (Bowler Pons) is looking for a Senior Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Technician to support a San Diego, CA-based government contract. This is a full-time, client-site position.
The Senior ESS Technician will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of electronic security systems – including hardware, software, and wiring/cabling – in a testing and production environment.
Core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting system status checks and reporting for Electronic Security Systems
• Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining Electronic Security Systems such as Intrusion Detection Systems, Video Management Systems to include digital cameras, Programmable Logic Controllers, Card Readers and multiple sensor types for lab testing and accreditation
• Coordinating with external Subject Matter Experts (SME) for system preparation of test activities
• Provide support for cybersecurity testing and mitigation requirements
• Setting up for test events, to include conducting and reporting on all pre-test activities
• Identifying and executing all preventive maintenance and sustainment tasks for all lab systems
• Maintaining and tracking lab system, asset, and tool inventories
• Maintaining configuration baselines and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintaining baseline functionality
• Serving as lab liaison with select vendors to research, sustain, and/or maintain equipment supplied for testing

Additional duties may include:

• Assisting with testing events and deployment/integration of new technology
• General lab environment maintenance and scheduled / corrective system servicing
• Providing reach-back technical support for system deployments in the field
• Coordinating with vendors regarding system lifecycle management

Required Qualifications:

• United States citizenship
• Active DoD Security Clearance (Secret or higher)
• At least five (5) years of experience installing and/or maintaining electronic security systems such as access control, automated gates/barriers, alarms, and/or camera networks
• Ability to read/follow complex technical drawings for system installation
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Disciplined time management and proactive initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to outstanding customer service

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• CompTIA Security certification
• One or more of the following certifications:
  • Lift Operation Certification
  • OSHA General Industry Training (10 hour or 30 hour)
  • OSHA Lock Out/Tag Out Certification
