Jazwares is Hiring a Senior Project Manager - Toy Product Development Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

As the Senior Project Manager in our Scheduling division, you will be responsible for establishing project plans in collaboration with cross-functional product development teams to determine tasks, milestones, resources, plans, and actual dates. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional (Creative, Product Development, Brand, Product Design, etc.) teams on specific brands and manage the product development schedule from concept through production.
What you will do:
  • Lead weekly Team Meetings to ensure communication among Cross-Functional Teams, communicate project statuses, pipeline projects, prioritization of projects, and creative resource bandwidth.
  • Lead weekly Escalation meetings with Cross-Functional Teams.
  • Lead multiple brands of low to high-complexity projects from schedule aspects, and pre-empt any potential issues.
  • Create and manage the schedules/activities needed for the Development of New Products for each season.
  • Establish timelines and manage projects to meet key milestones based on Needs & Assets and Product to Market (PTM) calendars.
  • Works closely with the Brand teams to ensure timely kick-off of brands to achieve a 12 month development cycle.
  • Manage the activities of Cross-Functional Teams to Support the Product Launch on time.
  • Resolve issues / Recommend Solutions in order to maintain schedules.
  • Partner with Design to manage team schedules, internal scheduling, and check-ins.
  • Partner with other departments and to balance workload and project flow.
  • Follow up with cross-functional team members on job progress and update project leads.
  • Input data into Milestone Doc for tracking.
  • Maintain status and knowledge of ongoing projects.
  • Closely monitor specific brands assigned and escalate when deliverables are off the calendar in a timely manner to team leads, with a solution-focused approach.
  • Keep team members on the right track and on schedule.
  • Problem-solving for any shifts to projects.
  • Work closely with Asia counterparts to ensure project status and schedule alignment with Asia and the US.
  • Mentor and Train Project Managers and Associate Project Managers.
  • Manage brands/projects, working independently with limited supervision.
  • International Project Management for all multilingual packaging on new mainline items.
  • Attend weekly calls with Asia Team counterparts.
  • Attend cross-functional meetings.
  • Review and report organizational needs for design teams based on development schedules and team bandwidth.

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in industry-related field preferred or equivalent combined experience in Product Development and Project Management
  • 5-10 years in product development/product management/project management in a consumer product industry
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in a consumer product industry
  • 3 years of leadership experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite
  • Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Proficient in project management and planning skills
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to use critical and creative thinking to resolve problems
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment
  • Can easily adapt to shifting priorities
  • A proactive approach to managing and executing projects
  • Works effectively and efficiently across departments to achieve desired outcomes
  • Familiar with licensor processes and approval stages
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and effectively keep projects on track and in scope
  • Knowledge of time management and project management skillsets, software, and practices
  • Demonstrates team skills such as collaboration, communication, and relationship-building
  • Able to gain an in-depth knowledge about our brands and products
Certifications or Licenses
  • Certified in project management (PMP, PMI, or similar) preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the toys/baby/pets/costume industry
  • Experience in a global company
  • Multilingual a plus
