We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Engineer with a strong background in design and/ or manufacturing to join our dynamic research and development team. The R&D Engineer will play a key role in developing and improving our products and processes, utilizing their expertise in both research and manufacturing techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define research and development goals and objectives related to product and process improvements.
- Collaborate with design engineering team to develop in-house testing procedures, collect testing data, and interpret testing results for a wide range of projects, including structural analysis, weather barriers, etc.
- Lead and organize a team of R&D technicians to accomplish prototype builds, test parts builds, testing parts and other tasks as needed.
- Hire, lead, and coach a team of R&D technicians.
- Develop and execute a schedule with all activities.
- Conduct research and analysis to develop innovative solutions that enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Execute DFMEA validation studies, driven from engineering change and design briefs.
- Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results to validate and optimize product designs and manufacturing processes.
