Boxley Group is Hiring a Hot Tap Technician Near Denver, CO
The Hot Tap Technician Level II specializes in performing complex hot tapping and line stop services on active industrial pipelines and vessels, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Safety First: Maintains a safe working environment by adhering to all company, client, and regulatory safety standards. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
- Hot Tapping and Line Stopping Expertise: Executes a wide range of advanced hot tapping and line stop procedures, including hot taps, line stops, hot stops, angle taps, and various specialized stops.
- Technical Proficiency: Identifies and implements appropriate safety procedures and equipment. Documents all service activities. Maintains hot tapping tools and equipment in optimal condition.
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical school or related training a plus. Two or more years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Certifications: Current HAZPOWER training certificate preferred.
- Travel: Up to 25% travel may be required.
- Location: Primarily based in the field at client sites.
- Environment: Indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings. Exposure to noise, machinery, and varying weather conditions. Requires the use of personal protective equipment.
- Interaction: Regular communication with crew members, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Walking, climbing, and maneuvering in industrial environments.
- Mental: Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain focus and multitask in demanding situations.
