Boyer Childrens Clinic is Hiring an Intake Specialist - Education Near Seattle, WA

Boyer Children's Clinic is currently seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Intake Specialist - Education. Boyer provides medical, therapy, special education and family services to infants and young children with developmental delays, and their families. For more information, visit www.boyercc.org. The Intake Specialist ' Education is responsible for guiding families through the intake process for the Early Support for Infant and Toddlers (ESIT) program for non-medically fragile children. This position works closely with the Referral Coordinator and other intake providers, including Educators and Therapists to ensure a smooth transition for families from referral to completion of the intake process.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFor non-medically fragile children:
  • Coordinate with Referral Coordinator on new ESIT referrals.
  • Complete intake process for newly referred children.
  • Obtain and review medical and developmental history of newly referred children and identify any qualifying medical diagnoses for ESIT services or any potential vision and/or hearing concerns of the child.
  • Administer a developmental assessment with an additional intake provider (therapist or educator) to determine ESIT eligibility of child.
  • Review enrollment paperwork with each family and process all paperwork to enroll or discharge a child from the ESIT program.
  • Coordinate with the assigned family resource coordinator, as well as the therapy, medical, and education department to determine next steps for ESIT services.
  • Coordinate with community providers that are involved in child's care.
  • Perform community outreach.
  • Participate in the development and execution of specific intake teams to improve services for specific populations of children with developmental delays and/or disabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Compensation
  • $25.93 per hour to $35.09 per hour, depending on experience.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel RequirementsThe work environment for this position is a typical office environment. The physical demands for this position requires the employee to use computers and sit/stand in an office environment. Travel requirements include the ability to transport oneself between offices as necessary, on a daily basis. Must possess a valid Washington State Drivers' license and automobile insurance if driving a vehicle.
