ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions (including but not limited to):
- Maintaining voice, data, and TV cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor)
- Repairing or replacing defective wiring
- Installing and terminating wiring to support renovation, relocation, or new construction
- Providing support for guest room issues including but not limited to: TV, phone and internet
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing or replacing various systems, including but not limited to: end user phones, TVs, printers, security camera systems, digital signage, cell boosters, team member cell phones, digital music, speakers, RFID gates and ticket printers, and any other resort technology; using vendor support to resolve difficult problems
- Providing current and new users with basic instruction
- Documenting solutions for both end user education and technical reference purposes
- Performing seasonal rotation of POS hardware and related equipment configurations; performing and maintaining an inventory of tools and equipment
- Always looking to improve yourself and our technologies for guests and team members
- Receiving general direction from the IT Director and performing tasks independently
- Using vendor support to resolve difficult problems
- Developing innovative ways to improve and/or streamline current processes
- Consistently work on IT-related projects as directed by IT management
- May be assigned additional tasks by supervisor
- At least 18 years old; have achieved a high school diploma or General Education Degree
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Possess a strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively work with others
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and how to use them
- Troubleshooting skills
- Audio / video knowledge preferred
- Available to work some nights, weekends, holidays and occasional required over-time
- Able to work outdoors in all types of weather as needed
- Able to regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and use ladders to perform work as needed
- Able to occasionally travel to various BOYNE locations in Michigan
