We offer a range of programs and activities aimed at enriching the lives of our members and fostering their personal and academic development.

Position Overview: The Teen Services Specialist will be responsible for providing individual and small group mentoring for members in grades 6-12 through the facilitation of targeted teen programs and intensive teen services. This position will recruit and retain members and ensure the successful transition of all members from middle school to high school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment and retention of members to maintain a caseload of 40 members in grades 6-12 during the academic year (20 members at Nagel; 20 members at Lutsey).
  • Provide Individual and Group Mentoring at both Clubhouse Locations.
  • Facilitate Club Programs for teens
  • Plan and execute special events targeting teens
  • Support the teen retention and recruitment strategy by conducting ongoing school visits during school lunch periods
  • Encourage parent/school/community involvement.
  • Provide guidance and role modeling to Club members.
  • Support with Workforce Readiness; help prepare members for career exploration and job readiness skills.
  • Provide Post-Secondary Education Support
  • Establish strong and nurturing relationships with tweens and teens; develop trust, respect and open dialogue.
  • Incorporate opportunities for youth voice
  • Develop inclusive, engaging and creative teen programming, and involve tweens and teens in the planning and decision making.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years post-graduation education.
  • A successful candidate will have an outgoing personality, be able to connect with teens, have strong communication with all stakeholders, and approach all challenges with a growth mindset.
  • Knowledge of youth development strategies.
  • Ability to motivate youth and utilize positive behavior management strategies.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule: Full-Time, Mondays - Fridays, Academic Year: 10a- 6pm; Summer: 9a - 5pm

Pay: Positions at the Club have a pay range that increase depending on a candidate's experiences and skills for the position in which they apply. The starting wage for this role is $17.00/hour.
