Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Program Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth and will be responsible for branch programming, youth program quality and branch operations. This is a full-time hourly position working with small to large groups of youth.

Requirements

Education and work experience requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience working with youth

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work regular program hours ( 10:00am - 7:00pm) Monday - Friday 
• Ability to be a positive role model
• Ability to establish rapport and build relationships
• Ability to set expectations and boundaries
• Ability to relate to at-risk youth
• Ability to facilitate, teach, or instruct
• Ability to create programs and activities based need
• Efficient with computers and Microsoft office; Knowledge of technology and software such as iPad, tablets, computers and internet
• Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be able to pass agency background screens and drug screen at any time
• Position requires driving personal vehicle. Candidates must have satisfactory driving record and a valid driver’s license for operation of a motor vehicle relevant to carrying out duties and to be covered under the company insurance the requirement is for employee to be a minimum of age 21.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree 
• Bilingual
• Knowledge of various program areas such as healthy lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development and teen interests
• Work experience or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club) 

Salary & Benefits:

• Minimum starting pay: $15.95 per hour
