Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV) is looking for candidates for Clubhouse Director of the Natalie Gulbis Club (9552 West Tropicana Ave 89147) who will directly manage the overall operation, organization, program planning, membership recruitment and maintenance of the respective facility. The Clubhouse Director is responsible for attaining membership goals by maximizing the member’s experience through oversight of program and service delivery. Responsible for achieving revenue goals for the club through consistent collection of appropriate fees as well as application of the Child Care Assistance Grant (CCA) program, if applicable.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides overall management and coordination of a variety of Clubhouse functions including club programs, membership application and recruitment, community relations, personnel, finance, budget, special events, space and facilities planning
- Establishes club programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and that create a club environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.
- Ensures and maintains maximum daily member attendance and membership growth according to organization standards and goals.
- Ensures all membership applications and corresponding data is input into the member database. Compiles monthly statistical reports reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation.
- Evaluates clubs processes, programs, and systems for continuous improvement and innovation opportunities. Conducts periodic program evaluations and written analysis of member needs and interests.
- Facilitates the recruitment, orientation, training, evaluation and counseling of Clubhouse staff and volunteers, and participates in the hiring process. Provides positive leadership, support, recognition, rewards, and job skills development opportunities to all Clubhouse personnel through effective supervision and performance management, training and constructive discipline of staff according to organization standards and guidelines. Schedule organizes and directs assignments. Conducts regular staff meetings. Makes recommendations to the Area Director for final staffing decisions.
- Manages Clubhouse financial resources, assists in the development of annual budgets.
- Ensures a healthy and safe environment for staff, volunteers, members, and visitors. Oversees and ensures the consistent enforcement of Clubhouse rules, organization policies, procedures and practices
Preferred Candidates will have the following:
- Experience in the youth development field.
- Experience in working with at-risk youth; emphasis on drug and delinquency prevention
- Financial management skills to include budget preparation, and cost control
- Proficient n Internet use and Microsoft Office
- Ability to deal effectively with multi-age children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands from several people
- Ability to interact well with the public and co-workers
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff
- Bilingual (preferred but not required)
- Nevada State Driver's License and a clean driving record

Compensation: $22.00 hourly; Eligible for full-time benefits after the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
