Organization MissionThe mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay is to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens. Position SummaryResponsible for managing club programs and services under the supervision of the Club Director. Second in charge in the absence of the Club Director. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of a range of programs within a designated Club, to achieve the Formula for Impact. Plans, develops, oversees implementation, supervises programs and program staff, and performs related administrative duties. Job Responsibilities
Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
Promote and stimulate program participation
Register new members and participate in the club orientation process
Provide guidance and role modeling to members
Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for club members and visitors
Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the unit at all times
Prepare lesson plans and various activities for members to engage in to promote diverse programming on a daily basis
Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly staff meetings
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Successful supervisory experience preferred
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Group leadership skills, including and understanding of group dynamics
Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities
Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of the
Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of non-profit organization
Demonstration of ability to communicate with different groups
Managing facility within budget
TravelTravel may be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Hillsborough and Pasco County for training and/or other business purposes.
