ORGANIZATION MISSION:

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay is to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Site Coordinator manages and directs overall daily operations of a club with primary concern for youth safety, program quality and impact, as well as service delivery/outcomes. The Site Coordinator is a part-time, 30 hour/week position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Site Coordinator is responsible for managing Club operations under the supervision of the assigned Area Director
  • Plans, develops, oversees, implements, and supervises programs and program staff, and performs related administrative duties
  • The Site Coordinator will supervise staff at the designated Club location
  • Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines staff; conflict resolution
  • Oversees the implementation and delivery of all day-to-day operations, programs, services, and activities that facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
  • Oversees the identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve program effectiveness based on participation and achievement of stated goals; recommends modifications to improve program performance, as appropriate
  • Oversees the growth strategy for average daily attendance and overall membership
  • Assists with Club budget development; monitor and report variances in revenues and expenditures
  • Ensures grant funded programs are executed on time and budget
  • Manages administrative and operational processes
  • Develops collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families, and community organizations
  • Participates in activities to maintain good public relations for Club programs, services, and activities
  • Maintains accurate and complete program outcomes and maintains that data for grant reporting and marketing purposes
  • Oversees member management system and ensures accurate data & financial entries
  • Responds promptly to club member needs; manages sometimes difficult or emotional situations; solicits feedback to improve club services; responds to requests in a timely manner; meets commitments
  • May be required to drive company bus and transport students upon attaining CDL license

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of three years’ work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people
  • Child Care Licensing Training and/or Director’s Credential preferred
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • CDL License Class B with passenger endorsement desirable. Preferred to obtain within 90 days
  • Successful supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Group leadership skills, including and understanding of group dynamics
  • Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities
  • Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of non-profit organization.
  • Demonstration of ability to communicate with different groups of children
  • Managing facility within budget

TRAVEL:

Travel will be required to multiple Club facilities Hillsborough and Pasco County on a weekly or monthly basis for training and/or other business purposes.
