The BGCAZ Athletics Lead Instructor is responsible for delivering and implementing traditional sports skills and athlete skill development as applicable to basketball, flag football and soccer. The responsibilities include overseeing and teaching the various skill lesson plans and drills to athletes and volunteer coaches. Responsibilities will also extend to running gameday clocks and keeping track of the score books. All staff are an extension of BGCAZ Athletics and are expected to run practices and league events while maintaining a high-level of quality and expertise on the latest trends in youth and adolescent sports and tournaments.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES
Facilitates and leads team practices for specific sport/Tracks, records and reports all contest scores to Site Supervisor
Ensures positive and informative skill instruction adjusted to athletes' level and ability
Employs BGCAZ’s Rules of Engagement in day-to-day interaction with staff and outside vendors, spectators
Ensures facilities, equipment and supplies are stored correctly and well maintained
Consults with parents, spectators and families passing along any concerning participant issues and questions to Site Supervisor
Monitors all practice and game time activities to be sure that policies and procedures are being followed by outside vendors and spectators.
Ensures that all participants are checked in and out of each practice/ BGCAZ Athletic events
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
High School diploma or equivalent
Must obtain/maintain a current CPR and First Aid (within
