BP Supply, Inc is Hiring a Human Resources Director Near Andrews, TX

BP Supply, Inc. is a reputable company based in West Texas, specializing in the sales and servicing of oilfield down hole rod pumps, provision of oilfield parts, and offering services for oilfield measurement solutions. Since our founding by Bill Parnell in 1983, we have remained committed to our core values of authenticity, grit, humble confidence, and a people-focused approach.
We are looking to add a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Director to our team at our Midland location. This role is crucial in supporting our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR functions.
Responsibilities

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork completion, orientation sessions, safety training, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist management with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, and other tasks as needed.
  • Advise management in employee relations issues and resolutions.
  • Maintain performance management documentation and track progress to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate training programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Handle worker's compensation claims, FMLA-related leave, and other leaves of absence in compliance.
  • Administrate benefits, such as compensation, medical benefits, dental benefits, vision benefits, life insurance benefits, and 401(k) plan. 
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and HR databases.
  • Maintain accurate Department of Transportation (DOT) files for employees and company.
  • Ensure the safety of self and others in the vicinity, including employees, vendors, and guests.
  • Provide safety meeting topics and managing records.
  • Perform facility safety audits to maintain compliance of company policies, guidelines, procedures and safe workplace practices in compliance with customer, local, state, and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Lead investigations related to HR and safety functions.
  • Sets up, coordinates, and monitors training programs and periodic testing; including, driving, forklift, First-aid/CPR, Drug Awareness, Supervisor Training, Respirator fit testing, DOT-related training, and Drug and Alcohol screening
  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance and updating HR and safety policies and procedures as needed.
  • Facilitate new programs, policies, and solutions to support field needs and ensure consistent and appropriate implementation.
  • Perform safety audits according to clients' requests. 
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proactive initiative and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based HRIS systems and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred.
