ABOUT THE TEAM
The EVP of Global Impact will be a key senior leader on the firm's Strategic Campaigns team. For more than a decade - and with decades of additional experience - this team has been partnering with mission-driven leaders and organizations tell their stories and advance change:
  • Our client portfolio includes foundations, civil and human rights organizations, non-profits, advocacy organizations and others focused on uplifting the voices of and building power for marginalized communities around the globe
  • Our work includes helping major international NGOs like Oxfam, Americares and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to advance poverty alleviation programs in countries around the world. With U.N. agencies such as UNICEF and WHO, we have built and driven global campaigns focused on growing public awareness around public health issues
  • We have worked with nonprofits like the Open Society Foundation to raise awareness about corruption and human rights abuses around the world
  • We have won major legislative victories and pressured decision-makers in Washington alongside nonprofit advocacy groups like the Coalition to End Uyghur Forced Labour
  • We've advanced wartime lawsuits alongside survivors of violence in Yemen and raised the alarm on threats to democracy in the United States

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Executive Vice President will drive and grow our work in global human rights, humanitarian relief, hunger and poverty, sustainable development and international social impact. This position provides a unique opportunity to build and deepen a portfolio of work and lead a talented team working with high-profile national organizations, individuals and campaigns.
Successful candidates will provide a clear and specific business plan to bring in substantial revenue within 6-9 months.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Strategic Campaigns management team is in-office at least three days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As an Executive Vice President, you will...
  • Partner with the Managing Director to drive business growth of the practice and the firm as a whole
  • Bring in substantial new business
  • Ensure the team is organized, aligned and motivated to achieve revenue, profitability and efficiency goals
  • Provide the highest level of client service and excellence in communications strategy
  • Serve as a senior leader in the practice and the firm as a whole, increasing the agency's strategic communications and digital fluency and capabilities
  • Drive an integrated communications approach for clients across owned, earned, paid media and other channels and drive overall cross-functional collaboration inside the team and across the firm
  • Partner closely with the Managing Director to oversee and ensure excellent team management, positive morale and strong team culture, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Understand capabilities and skill sets of team members, foster and manage opportunities for professional growth and identify needs for additional firm or practice-wide trainings
  • Evaluate and stay on top of industry trends and leverage audience-first channel strategies
  • Measure ROI for advocacy projects or clients, streamlining approaches as needed to ensure we are investing in the appropriate tools and resources
  • Work with peers to identify opportunities for firm thought leadership (i.e., speaking on panels, writing blogs, attending conferences)
Essential skills:
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in global communications, international human rights or other social impact field
  • A track record of business origination, effective sales, client development and a deep network to leverage for future business development and partnerships
  • Experience and understanding of the agency business model(s), including strong client management experience; experience at an earned/traditional media agency is a plus
  • Extensive experience managing a team and aligning staff around company goals and priorities
  • Direct team management experience, and a commitment to staff development, professional growth and mobility and building a diverse and inclusive team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Has a personal commitment to and knowledge of social justice and a passion for advancing progressive social change

WORKING AT BERLINROSEN
Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $225,000-$250,000
Executive Vice Presidentsare eligible for end-of-year bonuses based on firm, team, and individual performance.
