At this time, we are seeking a dynamic individual with a passion for leading teams to success. The right candidate will have extensive leadership or management experience and a keen attention to detail. This role demands clear, conscientious communication and the ability to prioritize tasks all while also helping your team communicate effectively as well. Confident conflict management, active listening, and the flexibility to jump between tasks is essential in helping your team navigate client complaints, staff miscommunications, and concerns that may arise.
As you develop initiatives and goals for your team to grow throughout the year, a knowledge of basic marketing skills and/or business skills are certainly a plus!
Throughout the onboarding process, our new hire will receive extensive hands-on training and be provided with mentorship as they become comfortable in their new role. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is looking to step into the veterinary world in an administrative role and feel as if they are a part of delivering exceptional care to our clients and patients.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling and managing of staff shifts, vacation requests, and training periods
- Planning and hosting team events to encourage communication and celebrate achievements
- Hiring and onboarding new employees followed by the execution of a 90-day check in to evaluate performance
- Managing payroll and monitoring employee hours/benefits
- Managing and mediating interpersonal conflict when necessary
- Setting goals and expectations for the clinic to continue growth
- Monitoring goals and expectations for individual employees which includes hosting yearly reviews, mid-year checkins, and other as needed performance assessments
- Developing protocols to consistently improve communication within the team and with our clients
- Leading weekly staff meetings to address any concerns, updates, announcements, or achievements such as Employee of the Month
- Tracking CE and accreditation requirements needed for the clinic and Doctor(s)
- Ensure that the team receives OSHA training annually and that OSHA requirements for the clinic are maintained throughout the year
- Work alongside the Practice Analyst to provide reporting and follow-through with budgeting requirements
