- Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the maintenance department and company as a whole.
- Ensure clean, marketable curb appeal by: painting, cleaning, de-trashing the grounds and other tasks related to the curb appeal of the property as needed and assigned.
- Grounds work as required which may include: trash removal, landscaping, snow blowing and salting.
- Residential maintenance shall refurbish vacancies within 5 working days when possible.
- Clean up thoroughly after work is complete.
- Follow all company standards, procedures, core values and emergency policies.
- Read prints, work requests, interpret instructions and assign tasks.
- Knowledge and observance of safety precautions and policy/procedures.
- Participate in performance improvement and information management activities.
- Demonstrate knowledge and be able to identify needs to promote a safe environment needed to protect the property and its residents.
- Maintain a good rapport with other staff members as well as with faculty, vendors and residents.
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid driver's license and motor vehicle insurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Commercial maintenance experience required
- Plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting and repair, and drywall experience required
- Working knowledge of floor machines
