BrainChild Bio is Hiring a Research Associate - Process Development Near Seattle, WA

BrainChild Bio is seeking to hire a Research Associate to grow our Process Development team. This role will support the design and execution of development studies as we scale our therapies beyond the early clinical research setting through commercialization to commercial launch. The ideal candidate will have a background in cell selection, lentiviral transduction, and cell culture expansion. They will be excited to assist with software-driven Design of Experiments (DOE) and scale down model studies, as well as full scale CAR-T cell production runs that will enable process optimization and understanding. The successful candidate will be a creative problem solver that thrives while working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to support cell therapy process development including Design of Experiments (DOE) studies to efficiently optimize unit operations
  • Document experiments in a timely and thorough manner using electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Perform statistical data analysis using JMP software
  • Author study reports detailing experimental work and summarizing results
  • Present experimental findings to cross-functional teams following study completion
  • Support planning activities prior to study execution including batch record authoring and reagent/material preparation
  • Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with lab policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biology, or other related discipline
  • 0-2 years of experience in a life sciences laboratory. Prior experience in cell therapy industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with mammalian cell culture sterile technique
  • Proficiency with lab electronic notebook and report writing
  • Flexibility with work schedule (i.e., occasional weekend work)
