Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and passionate After School Tween Teachers to join our team. As a a Tween After School Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating and shaping the minds of our students. This position requires expertise in a specialized area of curriculum, at least 2 years of directly working with tween children on an instructional level. Classes will be taught by specialized teachers who already work in the field of their focus or have substantial experience within that field. This, coupled with a small classroom environment, will give your studetns the opportunity to explore their unique interests over a 10-12 week course of their chosen focus.

​At the end of the 10-12 week program, you will hold a showcase presentation for friends and family displaying the work your students have accomplished during their classes with you. If you have a passion for teaching and enjoy working with students, we encourage you to apply.

Duties:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum

- Provide instruction in your specialty area and be able to scale the material up or down depending upon students needs/abilities

- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students

- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their performance

- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles

-Possible collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students

- Provide individualized support to students with special needs or learning disabilities

Skills:

- Bachelor's/ Associates degree in Education or related field

- Valid teaching certification or license is a plus

- Experience working with students in an educational setting

- Knowledge of middle school education principles and practices

- Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations

- First aid and CPR certification is required

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students on an individual level
