● Have 2 years of experience as a designer who has delivered groundbreaking digital products as an individual contributor.
● Have a strong portfolio that clearly demonstrates your product design process and work.
● Have strong platform-specific knowledge of both iOS and Android.
● Able to communicate your design decisions effectively to necessary stakeholders.
● Always strive to understand who you are solving problems for. Using data-driven approaches but also being aware of when you are basing decisions off your own assumptions.
● An emphasis on good visual design.
● Think and work atomically when it comes to building UI.
● Always thinking about inclusivity and accessibility when it comes to your design decisions.
● Have laser focus for minute details and can also hone in on the bigger picture of the problem you’re solving, connecting all the dots.
● Are able to own your design process and work independently within your multi-disciplinary team.
● Strive to improve yourself on a daily basis, taking and providing constructive feedback to and from members of your team.
● Have a strong desire to raise the bar of your design team, always actively contributing to better ways of working.

 

What you’ll be working on

About the Role

The purpose of the Product Designer is to be the brains behind the features our client release, to conceptualise and implement innovative ideas and designs that have the user in mind at every stage of the design process.

You will define how our customers interact with us, with a global reach of 31 countries your designs will have a global impact and portray to the market how they are incorporating the wants and needs of multiple customer bases.

They are committed to providing aworld-class standard for our customers, through research into behavioural-changing features and to validate designs you will look into best practices and methodologies to adhere to the high expectations they set.

It will be a joint venture between the Product Designer and the Product Managers to shape the product strategy and product vision, and a collaborative effort between the entire Product team to ensure they are consistent with our brand vision.

 

Key Accountabilities

● Working in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team. You’ll own the end-to-end design process, starting with the initial discovery phase, defining the experience at a high level, right through to building out and meticulously documenting the final UI for developer handoff.
● Collaborate and communicate with many stakeholders across the organization, producing high quality documentation to facilitate meetings and interactions where product and design are involved.
● Proactively identify problems and opportunities to be both studied and quantified, and formulate relevant questions and hypotheses to be validated.
● Working closely with a Product manager to define your team’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as well as each project’s success metrics.
● A highly active contributor to our client’s product design team. They’re a close-knit group of individuals who really care about the betterment of their team’s processes and constantly strive to improve them. Every single member of their team does their part to ensure they can operate at the highest possible level.
