Job DescriptionACCOUNT RECEIVABLE/ PAYABLE SPECIALISTJOB DESCRIPTION / GENERAL PURPOSE:To provide financial, clerical and administrative service to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payments of account under his or her control. MAIN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain up-to-date billing system
Generate and send out invoices
Follow up on, collect and allocate payments
Carry out billing, collections and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
Perform account reconciliations
Monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments and irregularities
Research and resolve payment discrepancies
Generate age analysis
Review AR aging to ensure compliance
Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
Process credit card payments and electronic payments
Prepare bank deposits
Investigate and resolve customer questions
Process adjustments
Manage account payable using accounting software and other programs
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
Comparing purchase orders, price, terms of payment and other charges
Ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner
Communicate with customers via phone, email or mail
Assist with month-end closing
Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
Review and approve office supply acquisitions
Maintain a safe and secure working environment
Handle customer inquiries and complaints
Answers multi-line phone system.
Maintain and monitor office equipment functionality.
Education And Experience
Knowledge of accounts receivables/accounts payables
Knowledge of office administration and procedures
Knowledge of general booking procedures
Knowledge of general accounting principals
Proficient in MS Office
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year College or University; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of and experience
