Brandeis University is Hiring a Lecturer in Neuroscience Near Waltham, MA

The Department of Biology and Neuroscience Programat Brandeis University seeks an instructor for NBIO 140B, Principles of Neuroscience (4 credits) for the Fall 2024 semester.
This course is offered annually and is required for Neuroscience majors. It is also often taken by students majoring in Biology and Health: Science, Society, and Policy as well as pre-medical students. Topics covered by this class include resting potentials, action potentials, synaptic transmission, sensory systems, motor systems, learning, neural circuits underlying behavior, neurological diseases, and mental illness. Sophomore standing, successful completion of BIOL 15b, one additional BIOL, BCHM, NBIO, or NPSY course, as well as one year of college level chemistry or physics with lab or math course above MATH 10a/b are required for enrollment in NBIO 140b.
A PhD in neuroscience or a related field is required, and strong preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in neuroscience.
