Construction Project Engineer

The Ideal candidate will be required to collaborate with the Project Manager (PM) and Project Foreman to complete day to day activities related to current and potential projects that are awarded. The ideal candidate must have the flexibility to travel (10- 30% of the time) between Oregon, Washington, and/or other markets as needed. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Support Project Manager and Superintendent in day-to-day clerical duties.

• Assigned owner for maintaining applicable logs of each project/s to be included in daily reports.

• Responsible for the preparation of project submittals, changes orders, RFI’s etc. as directed by the PM.

• Assist in the review and distribution of all incoming correspondence related to current projects and those in que.

• Responsible for preparing necessary material to review with field team for weekly team meetings pertaining to project/s schedule.

• Accountable for ensuring field managers submit applicable HR and company related documents according to established deadlines.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or similar experience in construction industry

• Two years of experience in performing clerical work. Last Update: 8.31.2023

• One year of experience with performing submittals/install drawings review, dimension checking, and materials compliance.

• Effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

• 3 years of experience with reading and interpreting construction plans specs, contracts, proposals, and estimates. • An intermediate understanding of accounting principles is a plus.

• One year experience in computer software and like Project Journals (PJ), Take - Off, Quick bid, Microsoft Office

Working Environment

• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

• May require periods of travel.

• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

• May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)

• Assignment location is primarily in the office. Sit locations may be included.

• Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen

• Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling

Compensation Package

• $65k-$110k Annual Salary, based on experience

• Health care benefits will be determined after the employees’ initial 30-day probationary period.

o Employees will be given bi-weekly stipend on payroll check to purchase private health care benefits.

▪ Recommendation of plans will be provided within the initial 30 days.

• Vacation time/Sick leave

o 2 weeks of vacation/PTO will be awarded after an employee completed 90-day probationary period.
