Supervisors are responsible for the leadership of their employees and ensuring that quality services are provided. Supervise a staff of General Cleaners who perform general cleaning tasks at a specific work location. Cleaning and maintenance at the work location include dusting, cleaning floors, emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, etc. The supervisor is also responsible for caring for and repairing company-owned property (e.g., vacuums and other products used by employees at the assigned work location).
Supervisor Responsibilities :
- Supervises cleaning staff
- Walk the floor to review work performed by employees in the executive offices and other areas as designated by the manager
- Check special work requests or issues as requested by the client and ensure that the request has been completed as requested
- Trains employees on how to perform the functions of the job
- Trains employees on safety procedures
- Reports workplace accidents
- Advises manager of workplace issues/ concerns regarding employees and equipment
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed and requested by the client and/or the Account Manager
Essential Functions
- Supervise staff of twenty or more employees 
- Provide training and orientation to new employees as required. 
- Inspect work performed to ensure quality standards are maintained. 
- Monitor time reporting transactions. 
- Inspect equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition. 
- Monitor staff safety practices to ensure policies/procedures are followed. 
- Submit a work request to engineering for items that need repair. 
- Distribute and monitor supply usage. 
- Reassign work assignments as required. 
- Performs discipline procedures of employees for poor work performance, attendance, etc. 
- Handles employee work schedules 
- Review time-off requests
