The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and on Wednesday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. There is a 30 minute lunch break each day. Please only apply if you can reliably commute to our office at 800A 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Repeated lateness is unacceptable.

Responsibilities:

• answering phone calls and taking detailed messages
• communicating with patients
• monitoring incoming faxes
• entering information and uploading documents into the electronic medical record system
• communicating with medical offices, labs, and imaging facilities
• photographing patients
• preparing, maintaining, and cleaning exam rooms
• monitoring inventory and ordering supplies
• chaperoning plastic surgeons when seeing patients
• assisting physician assistants with patients
• assist with additional in-office tasks
• ***A SUBSTANTIAL PART IF THE JOB INVOLVES BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR COLLECTING AND TRACKING THE PREOPERATIVE DOCUMENTATION FOR PATIENTS SCHEDULED FOR SURGERY

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with "front office" and "back office" responsibilities in a medical practice
• Familiarity with electronic medical records
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Annual salary is $50,000.00. Benefits include 10 days PTO, health insurance, and 401k. Excellent performance may result in promotion and higher pay.
