Maintenance Technician YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES - Performinspections, testing and record keeping as required.
- Performgeneral and preventative maintenance duties.
- Overseecontractor activity as directed.
- Maintainproduction equipment based on information and or equipment used in the courseof work performance.
- Maintainingaccurate record keeping within department.
- Reviewestablished production schedule to ensure equipment is operational.
- Equipmentmaintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Loading ofhazardous waste for outbound shipments.
- Maintainsassigned warehouse area and assures that it is operated within operatingprocedures.
- Responsibilityto recommend suggestions for improvement and provide solutions to problems.
- ReceiveInitial and Annual Hazardous Waste Management Training (Annual RCRA Training).
- PerformHazardous Waste Management functions at site.
- Moving andlabeling of hazardous waste from satellite area to 90-day storage.
- Assist indetermining status of non-conforming materials.
- Ensurehazardous waste is stored properly in storage areas.
- Assist inreduction of hazardous waste via process or procedure
- Report orcontain any hazardous waste spill and contact management immediately
- Maintenancepersonnel are required to perform all functions of plant maintenance.
- They areprimarily responsible for the production equipment and preventive maintenance.
- Maintenancepersonnel maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the processes related tothe mechanical function of equipment.
- Performall duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federalregulations and company policies.
- Performs avariety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and totroubleshoot, repair and replace parts in equipment.
- Technicianswill also perform tests, inspections and preventive maintenance of facilityequipment such as pumps and piping with minimal supervision.
- Continuallymonitor machinery and make necessary adjustment(s) to ensure proper operation.
- Performall levels of welding and mechanical repairs to industrial machinery present inmaterial recovery facilities (MRF).
- Repair andpossible fabrication of conveyors and component parts.
- Proper useof all welding and cutting equipment related to all phases of metal fabricationand repair.
- Repaircompany equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner.
- Performgeneral housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance withCompany and OSHA standards.
- Completeall paperwork and/or electronic updates as required.
- Regularuse of heavy industrial shop tools and equipment such as power tools, welder,general hand tools
- Work withoutside contractors that supplement our internal maintenance plan.
- Professionalinteraction with internal and external customers.
- Maintain apositive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner thatpromotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, andmanagement.

YOUR PROFILE Education and Experience: - HighSchool Diploma and/or General Education Diploma (GED), preferred.1 year pluswork experience
- Ability toread, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions and procedure manual.
- Ability towork with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios andproportions to practical situations.
- Welding,electrical knowledge, piping, and general construction.
- 2 years ofplumbing experience (preferred)
- 2 years ofelectrical experience (preferred)
