A prestigious healthcare system in Maine is searching for Adult Psych Registered Nurses for one of its hospitals in Lewiston. In this role, you will be an essential member of the patient care team and responsible for the delivery of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. You will assess, plan, treat, and evaluate nursing care for patients and work collaboratively with other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to adult patients with diagnoses of bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, major depression, psychotic disorders, etc.
• Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients’ needs.
• Document care provided and the patient’s progress toward desired outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge.
• Administer medication to patients as directed.

Qualifications:

• An ADN is required, and a BSN is preferred.
• Active RN license.

• Full-time, permanent position
• Schedule: 3x12
• Two shifts available: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
• Pay; $32-43 /hr. base, depending on experience, generous differentials!
