$24.13 to $26.54 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Beachside/Melbourne Beach/South Beaches WWTP. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes standby, overtime, and holidays as needed. Performs skilled technical electronic work in the performance of a variety of calibrations, installations, modifications, maintenance, and repair of electronic instrumentation, monitoring equipment, and systems, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:Two (2) years [60 semester or 90 quarter hours] of college-level credit with major coursework in electronic technology or a closely related fieldPLUStwo (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the installation, repair, and modification of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software and hardware systems. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must complete, within nine (9) months of employment, all of the Brevard County Mandatory Training forthe Development of New Employees classes. Must be able to work planned and unplanned overtime, standby, and call-out duties on a rotational basis. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
