Tax Senior (Hybrid) - Top 15 CPA Firm
Brewer Morris is currently working with a Top 15 CPA firm in Irvine, CA. The CPA firm has been recognized as a premier accounting, tax, financial advisory and consulting organization. Providing services to a wide range of publicly traded and privately held companies, the firm offers a sophisticated array of services and global capabilities, combined with the personal attention of experienced and committed professionals.
The Tax Senior is responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. In this role, Tax Senior is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues and recognizing and communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy. In addition, the Tax Senior will be involved in the marketing, networking and business development within an area of expertise and specialization and may be asked to provide written tax advice to clients.
Responsibilities
• Provide top-level review and preparation of federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
• Lead team of staff accountants
• Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements
• Research complex tax issues
• Ensure quality of work product
• Monitor workflow
• Coach/mentor individual team members
• Provide formal and informal feedback
• Communicate progress to partners
• Develop business with both existing and new clients
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients
• Works closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree a plus
• CPA certificate preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

• CPA exam fee’s are being reimbursed for the first attempt of each exam
• Surgent, Becker, Roger study material are being offered at no charge or up to $2,000 in reimbursement if they want to purchase a program outside of the 3 mentioned
