We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to dispense medication to customers based on a doctor's prescription. In this position, you will count, package, and label medication. In some cases, you may mix a compound yourself or select a suitable generic alternative to a drug. You will also oversee pharmacy techs and provide customer service. You must have a doctorate from an accredited pharmacy program and several years of experience working with medication. You must also be certified to administer immunizations prior to starting this job.

Staff Pharmacist Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain an inventory of common medications
• Count, package, and label medications for prescriptions
• Place orders for out of stock medications
• Administer immunizations, primarily flu shots
• Manage pharmacy techs and other employees
• Select suitable alternatives to name brand medication

Staff Pharmacist Requirements and Qualifications

• License to administer immunizations
