Job DescriptionMachine Maintenance Supervisor Position and Responsibilities Overview
Recommend improvements and/or changes to PM systems/tasks when applicable
Follow standard practices and all governmental regulations and laws relating to powered equipment. Train team members on set up, lock out, and operation fabrication equipment.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and participate in safety programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life.
Other duties as assigned
All of the following listed will be in a Supervisory/ Manager capacity providing direction and training for the Machine Maintenance team to complete:
Repair and perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC repairs such as replace control devices, switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments in a timely fashion.
Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment including CNC Machinery, Presses, Plasma Cutters, welding machines, cranes, jib cranes, PLCs, welding robots, cobots, material handling robots, forklifts, scissor lifts, Lift assists, air compressors, sandblast equipment, paint equipment, ventilation equipment etc.
Gather and maintain a complete set of required tools, including calipers, electrical meters and other diagnostic and measurement devices.
Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to define problem areas and assist with resolution.
Qualifications
Required to be licensed electrician.
Required background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC and overall machine troubleshooting skills.
Advanced knowledge with industrial tools and equipment.
Advanced knowledge of Maintenance work order generation and tracking software packages, predictive maintenance, TPM and downtime tracking tools.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Search and Internet research on maintenance and repair issues.
Independently performs most assignments
Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.
High School diploma, GED or vocational training/certification.
10 years’ experience on the same or similar industry.
