We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join our innovative client's finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining organized records. You will play a crucial role in supporting their financial operations, from data entry through to financial reporting, and ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and on time. Your salary will be dependent on experience.
A Day in the Life:
· Comprehensive Accounting: Manage all facets of accounting, including data entry, General Ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
· QuickBooks Expertise: Utilize QuickBooks or similar accounting software to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and produce detailed reports.
· Reconciliations: Perform General Ledger account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity and accuracy in all company accounts.
· Inventory & Fixed Assets: Oversee the accounting and tracking of inventory and fixed assets, ensuring that all items are accurately recorded and depreciated as necessary.
· Multi-company Transactions: Handle transactions across multiple companies, managing intercompany transactions and ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
· Timely Processing: Ensure all financial transactions are processed promptly and accurately, meeting established deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
· Record Maintenance: Maintain organized files and records to support all transactions, ensuring that all documentation is complete, accessible, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
· Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing accurate and timely financial data to management.
· Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· A minimum of three years of related work experience in accounting, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting, reconciliations, and multi-company transactions.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines with precision.
· Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
· Integrity & Confidentiality: A high degree of professionalism, ethical standards, and respect for confidentiality in handling financial information.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
· A proactive approach to identifying issues and developing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
· Person of high ethics, integrity, honesty with lots of passion, drive, and a sense of humor.
