HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES:
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
50% Greeting and assisting customers in person and on the phone (requires a lot of standing)
5% Checking customers out on the point-of-sale system
10% Sorting and cleaning bulk LEGO
10% Building and repairing used sets
5% Organizing and stocking products (requires lifting up to 50 pounds)
5% Sharing in cleaning responsibilities (e.g. vacuuming, restroom, dusting)
5% Supporting hosted and un-hosted in-store party events
5% Supporting management with creative ideas and shared customer feedback
5% Sharing in other general retail activities as needed (e.g. annual stock count, special events)
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in finding the products they need and provide product information and recommendations.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stockrooms, shelves, and checkout areas.
- Receive and process stock shipments, including unloading and stocking merchandise.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Use basic math skills to handle cash register transactions and make change.
- Provide support to other sales associates and management as needed.
- Use retail math skills to make informed decisions about inventory levels and sales strategies.
- Utilize effective communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries and addressing customer concerns.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of retail sales principles and practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Proficiency in basic math and retail math concepts.
- Experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

COMPENSATION, PERKS AND SHIFTS
● This position requires up to 30 hours per week with wages generally starting from $11.00/hour (depending on experience and availability) with individual and group sales bonus potential.
