Job Title: Applications Administrator

Pay: $94K - $123.7K

We are seeking a dedicated Applications Administrator to join a small, close-knit team of six. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience with software patching and upgrades, and the ability to work on an on-call rotation. Responsibilities:

• Administer and support a range of applications
• Maintain and manage Windows server environments, SQL databases, networks, Azure Active Directory, and ServiceNow ticketing process.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend changes to improve application performance.
• Provide ongoing production maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Plan, design, develop, build, and configure supported applications.
• Evaluate project requests, conduct assessments, gather requirements, and participate in design and build activities.
• Oversee conversions, application testing, and documentation of procedures.
• Participate in training design, development, and execution.
• Provide go-live support and serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor, acknowledge, and resolve service tickets.
• Coordinate software and hardware patches, service packs, and version upgrades.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of application infrastructures and technologies used across the organization.
• Collaborate with functional teams and vendors to select new applications.
• Work with project managers and other support groups to articulate infrastructure, database, network, IT security, and project needs.
• Serve as a Project Manager for non-PMO organized efforts.
• Define business requirements with customer departments and internal partners, developing solutions, testing, and operationalizing them.
• Troubleshoot application functionality issues and determine solutions.
• Support monthly application and OS patching with internal team members.
• Customize ad hoc reporting for customers and management.
• Stay informed about change management, risk assessment, and risk mitigation from audit findings, ensuring compliance through application updates.

Requirements:

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.

• 1 – 3 years of experience in:
• Supporting on-premises and SaaS enterprise-level applications.
• Firewall and SSL certificate setup, installation, and maintenance.
• SQL, scripting, network/Azure AD, and MS 365 applications.

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a fingerprint background check.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in software patching and upgrades.
• Understanding of PeopleSoft, with readiness to transition to new systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience writing code and leading projects.
• Knowledge of security and audit processes.
• Ability to work effectively with business customers and internal partners.
• Willingness to provide on-call and off-hours support on a rotating basis.
