Title: Lead Material Handler
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with some overtime as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Excellence: Receive, stock, and manage perishable and dry goods inventory, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Logistics Coordination: Organize inventory flow, compare bills of lading, and generate pallet tags for streamlined operations
• Storage Management: Maintain proper storage of perishable goods in refrigerated and freezer spaces, promptly removing outdated items
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and fostering a positive work environment
• Documentation: Complete forms, reports, and logs accurately to track inventory and maintain compliance with company standards
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move inventory and maintain equipment

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED with 1-3 years of warehouse experience, including leadership or supervisory roles
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in cold environments
• Mathematical Skills: Basic ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to handle inventory counts and basic calculations
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory databases
• SAP Experience: Experience with SAP software is a plus
• Safety Awareness: Solid understanding of warehouse safety regulations and compliance standards
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Initiative: Proven ability to take initiative and drive process improvements
