Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our guests. You will prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glasses
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of food items
- Process customer payments using cash register or POS system
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
- Monitor alcohol consumption of customers and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders for customers seated at the bar
- Assist with banquet or special event service as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced environment is preferred
- Knowledge of retail math, basic math, and cash register operations
- Familiarity with brewing techniques and beverage recipes
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell and promote specials
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service during peak hours
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be at least 18 years old or older (age requirements may vary by state)
- Food service experience is a plus
