JOB SUMMARY:

Technician will help maintain all mechanical equipment, HVAC systems, or other mechanical systems within our elevator, malthouses or roasting & bagging departments.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:

• Use various metal working equipment such as laths, mills, drill press, surface grinders in the fabrication of equipment and/or parts utilized in our operations.
• Fabricate metal parts and products. May assemble, fit and fasten parts/equipment.
• Weld stainless steel materials to maintain process equipment including sanitary process tubing by use of Tig welding along with the use of Stick/Mig as needed.
• May troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems and exhaust systems.
• Help maintain building and grounds maintenance programs.
• Perform routine maintenance around our buildings and equipment.
• Mechanical repair of process equipment.
• Help maintain preventative maintenance program of greasing, oiling, changing filters, etc. and keeping up-to-date log records on all equipment.
• Work with other Maintenance Technicians to eliminate plant non-scheduled shut-downs.
• Adhere to all government and company safety, sanitation and GMP policies and regulations. Adherence to SQF, Food Safety, and Food Quality.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Technical school training in maintenance/welding/fabricating and/or 5 years experience required. Individual must posses a high mechanical aptitude and the ability to use various mechanical hand and power tools/equipment. Knowledge of reading mechanical prints and drawings. Experience with (MIG & TIG) welding techniques.
