Our PPO based practice, located in Villa Park, IL, is looking for an energetic, organized, motivated, and caring dental hygienist for 2 days a week! We take pride in treating our patients with the best care possible and are looking for someone who is willing to help grow our practice with their excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on their oral health.

We offer our patients 1 hour recall appointments and new patients gets 1.5 hours. We also support our hygienists by providing them with needed support from our assistants.

Our office Hours are:

• Monday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Tuesday: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Wednesday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Thursday: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
• Friday: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

We are looking for someone to work one or two of those days. We can be flexible on the days!

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
• Take and record accurate patient medical history and vital signs
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
• Administer local anesthesia as needed
• Take dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation using electronic dental software (Eaglesoft)
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care
• Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies

Dental Hygienists Job requirements

• Valid state dental hygiene license
• Licensed in giving anesthetic
• Proficiency in using dental office software system.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experienced in SRPs and taking x-rays.
• Ability to work well with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
