Brighter Days Housing is Hiring a Direct Support Professional Near Norfolk, VA
The Direct Support Professional will work the following Shifts:
Monday thru Thursday 3pm to 11pm and Friday 3pm to 8pm.
The DSP will perform the following duties:
Provide a Person Centered Approach to Individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities
Provide medication as prescribed after becoming med certiifed
De-escalate negative behaviors effectively and become trained in TOVA within 30 days
Monitor the Health and Safety off all residents in the home
Complete all documentation as required such as progress notes, daily logs, medication records
Assist the residents with daily life skills
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
Experience:
- Direct Support Professional: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Medication Administration (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
