Job Opening:

The Malvern School is currently seeking to fill the Director of Education position in King of Prussia, PA. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday.

Job Summary:

The Director of Education assists the Executive Director in overseeing the school, and has a focus on educational programming, classroom observations and staff training & development. As the Director of Education, you will:

  • Assume responsibility for the daily operations and every aspect of the school in the absence of the Executive Director.
  • Work in conjunction with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies.
  • Abide by and enforce all terms of The Malvern School Employee Manual.
  • Produce written work for parents, staff, peers and supervisors that is of above-standard quality in composition, content, and timeliness.
  • Strive to achieve goals in all areas of position to promote the school's and the company's growth and prosperity.
  •  Lead or assist in classrooms (as needed) in order to maintain ratios, meet financial goals, and serve as a role model.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (with a minimum of 24 credits in the field)
  • Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, required
  • Supervisory experience, required
  • Knowledge of NAEYC, preferred
  • Experience writing and reviewing lesson plans, required
  • Experience observing classroom lessons, preferred
