Job Description
Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Platform Program Manager - Orchestration to join our rapidly growing team! We are building the first cloud-enabled telecommunication that provides a simple and seamless customer experience.
As the Platform Program Manager - Orchestration, you will be critical to help us innovate the functional platform capabilities of our Network Architecture, Order Fulfillment, Dispatch, Service Delivery, Service Assurance & Field Operations clients in the Mass Markets (MM) and Enterprise & Wholesale (E&W) domains. You will work closely with IT and Business Operations Leads to ensure alignment of short and long-term goals for a unified platform experience. The principal purpose of this role is to provide seamless platform integration by driving automation and process efficiency for all underlying technology and operational processes for the customer life cycle including: network architecture, network operations, sales, field technicians, dispatch, and technical support agents. In this position, you will report to the Sr. Manager Product & Platform Innovation - Governance.
As the Platform Program Manager, Orchestration, your duties and responsibilities include:
  • Develop a scalable and robust cross-domain E2E transformation workflow management process including design, implementation, execution, monitoring and quality assurance for Mass Markets (MM), Enterprise & Wholesale (E&W)
  • Responsible for aligning cross-functional teams to implement transformational initiatives, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to daily operations
  • Primary point of contact for stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business partners for assigned product and platform programs
  • Drive long-term modernization and technical advancement planning for product & platform innovation programs
  • Support the Product & Platform Innovation team by managing assigned targeted efforts to completion
  • Responsible for identification and delivery of product and business requirements to IT including
  • Describing the need of the business / customer or the characteristics of the proposed system from the viewpoint of the product or platform's end user
  • Requirements are written in a manner that IT can action
  • Product and business requirement hand-off to IT according to program timeline
  • Aligns product and platform end users to define Acceptance Criteria based off the product and business requirements including, minimal viable product, go / no go criteria, and contingency planning
  • Assist in domain JIRA management including Product Owner partnership, user story oversight and management, PI planning prioritization and completion tracking
  • Collaborate with JIRA administrators and developers to implement customizations and integrations as needed
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into JIRA configurations
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among program teams using JIRA dashboards, boards and reports
  • Conduct regular meetings and status updates to keep stakeholders informed of program progress and risks
  • Support comprehensive business readiness testing spanning from Buy Flow to Billing, documenting daily outcomes including pass, fail, exceptions, defect handling, and retesting ensuring a seamless flow in both User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production environments, meeting program deadlines
  • Chair or Co-Chair the daily business readiness testing sessions, facilitating active participation from all essential stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Define and effectively communicate any significant risks and dependencies to the leadership team, ensuring clarity and transparency
  • Support application BVT and ORT release scheduling and system integration
  • Collaborate with business leads and program managers to understand reporting requirements and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies and procedures in JIRA configurations and project management principles
  • Demonstrated exceptional presentation, interpersonal, relationship development, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to present at the senior most level in the business
Qualifications
WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Program Management, Business, or Software Development
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross team projects
  • 4 years of strong technical experience, preferably in telecommunications or software development
  • Experience in simplifying and reinventing processes, systems, and user experiences
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Kanban software development environment
  • Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Strong technical experience, preferably in telecommunications or software development
  • Strong strategic vision, and the ability to identify friction points and implement innovative solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to document processes flows and diagrams
  • Ability to translate technical terms into plain language
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Experience creating C Suite level presentation materials
  • Quick learner with excellent written & verbal communication and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, context switching, and ability to cope with tight deadlines
  • JIRA Knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficient in program planning and life cycle development tools

  • Master's Degree and / or technical certifications in relevant field
  • Intimate knowledge of telecommunications, fiber optics technology and/or delivering a stellar customer service experience
  • Experience in creating and supporting digital communications
