Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work with children with autism spectrum disorder in the home and community alongside a passionate, hands-on BCBA, implementing behavior intervention plans to improve communication, play and social skills.

Duties:

· Work collaboratively with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)

· Implement behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs

· Teach language and social skills through play

· Collect data on client behaviors during sessions

· Maintain accurate and timely session notes

Qualifications:

· 18 years or older

· Experience working with children

· Able to complete training and testing to become a Registered Behavior Technician through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board

· Able to work effectively in a team environment

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Able lift up to 40 lbs.

· Able to move comfortably from a sitting to standing position

Preferred Skills:

· Previous experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder

· RBT certification

· Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles and implementation

· Familiarity with data collection methods for behavior analysis

Location

· Clients are located in Chatham, Springfield, and Lincoln, Illinois

· Flexible assignments and pairings based on shortest travel

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
